One thing that bugs me about Lynn Johnston's art is how every single time her character moves their head, there are these black dots coming out of their hair indicating that they have a bad case of dandruff...or something. I've always felt it makes them look dirty and unwashed.
John is left in his Lynn-state because I realized the picture looks much more frightening when it looks like Elly is coming to life, "Take On Me" style.
