Well, I had my complete inability to draw children unexpectedly and embarrassingly exposed to the world with this picture. Now that I'm doing a Simpsons comic for Bongo, I've had to force myself to learn the right proportions, so I have a chance to redeem myself. Hooray! I can finally draw kids between the ages of 4 to 12! Now I need to learn how to draw an accurate saxophone. (It should've been way bigger, but I drew this on the edge of the paper and if I made it any larger it would've been cut off).
This is the style I'm using. The face is a bit Fujiko Fujio (Doraemon), the body proportions are bit Osamu Tezuka (Astroboy), and the rest is all me. |
