Since the movie trailer and sneak preview shots of the merchandise for The Last Airbender are out now and all the character looks have been revealed, I figure it's okay to post these now.

"These are the sketches i did for paramount after they sent me many photos of the film cast in their costumes. I was asked to draw the characters in their film outfits, but it was up to me whether to keep the hairstyles or not. I opted to keep the TV series hairstyles, except for Yue's because I liked her film hair. I'm not sure why I was asked to draw them since none of them appear in the prequel comic I worked on."

Maybe they mistakingly thought I was working on the film adaptation comic instead?

I like the film costumes a lot, and it was fun drawing the TV versions in the film outfits. For the record, I wasn't allowed to make the characters resemble their film actors.

My favourite part of the movie designs is Aang's tattoo.
