space coyote at Anime North

Journal Entry: Mon May 12, 2008, 4:03 AM
I will be a Guest of Honor at Anime North!
That's May 23-25 in Toronto, Ontario. See my profile here.

And... I believe I'm going to do a panel about myself. Some sort of Q & A session for those interested in my story of how I got my foot in the door. I'm really not quite sure what's going on yet, but I felt I should at least say I'll be there!

What's happening for sure is that I'll be one of the panelists on the Ace Attorney/Phoenix Wright Panel, alongside some of my friends (including Croik of Court Records, the largest Ace Attorney fansite online). If you like that game series, come see us talk about why Glen Elg should be your favourite character.

a million views!

Journal Entry: Thu Dec 20, 2007, 5:36 PM
And it's not even Christmas yet. At the very beginning of the year, I had only about 75k page views (rough estimate) over the course of 4 years, so that's a huge leap in the amount of visitors. Yay thanks!

p.s. Months ago, I mentioned how I got the "900,900" page view for my own account... Yesterday, I got 999,099.

Please refrain from contacting me about "art theft" unless someone is profiting from my work, because there's a good chance I won't consider it to be of any concern otherwise.

:bulletblue: COMMENTING IS DISABLED :bulletblue: This gallery isn't here for critiques OR praise. It's just acting as an extension of my website. Also, I used to read comments -- until I started getting too lazy and busy to. I then felt I was misleading people into thinking I'll read their comments by allowing them, which is a big reason why I disabled them altogether.

I do glance at the comments on the front page once in a while, but not very often.

a million views?

Journal Entry: Wed Oct 31, 2007, 4:02 PM
I usually don't care about page views, but this week mine went over 900,000, and I think it would be neat if it reached 1 million views by the the end of this year. Is that an unrealistic goal? Just a thought!

By the way, before I did Simpsonzu, I only had a bit over 70k page views. I had been on dA for 4 years. Now, after 10 months, I have over 900k. Isn't that crazy?

Bart Simpson Comics #38 is out in stores now! They misspelled my name in the credits, but it is me, I assure you.

Please re-read my "thoughts on art theft":

I'm reposting this because I've gotten at least five reports this month alone about my picture being used on Youtube, or something. I know about it, and it doesn't bother me in the least. Please refrain from contacting me about "art theft" in general, because there's a good chance I won't consider it to be of any concern.

10/20 UPDATE: I'm still getting reports about my pictures being on Youtube. Again, I am not concerned about it.

In other news, I enjoyed Anime Weekend Atlanta a few weeks ago, and Bart Simpson Comics #38 will be released on Halloween. I did the pencils for the Milhouse story, and it's my first official Simpsons work in the proper Groening style.

Still busy with my own comic! (Please don't ask me when this is coming out, because I don't know.)

Simpsons comic #131

Journal Entry: Wed Jun 20, 2007, 8:12 PM
(re-posted from my LiveJournal)

Simpsons Comics issue #131 is out today!

Out a week earlier than that website had said... not that I'm complaining! It looks so cool. The inker and toner did a fantastic job! Everything matched up perfectly with my pencilled lines. I'm very happy with it. So go to your local comic book store, 7-11, any place with large magazine rack, to see my very first published comic pages!

Also, the English version of Houshin Engi volume one is out! As I've said a dozen times in the past, it's my favourite manga series ever and my biggest influence. I picked up a copy, and the translations are well done. I command you to buy it! Though I will admit, the story doesn't really pick up until the 4th volume.
